Pet Care Service of East Rock, LLC

"I've used Strider Pet Care for nearly 6 months, and Luke is great with my 65+lb rescue dog! Even with a very strong young pup, I knew he was in great hands and got text and/or photo updates every time he was being pet-sat or walked! The flexibility and reliability were unparalleled and I'm so glad we found Strider when we did."

"Luke was always there to take care of my cats Mimi and Robbie when I was away. Robbie is a special needs cat AND a fussy eater, but Luke was great at following my specific instructions for preparing his food and supervising while he ate to ensure he finished his food before Mimi could swoop in!
He also never had an issue pilling Robbie when he needed to take medication and he always remembered Mimi's supplements.
Luke is a clear animal lover who always showed a sense of affection when looking after my cats. He is so trustworthy and never let me down!
It was great knowing I could leave my babies in his hands and I would highly recommend him to anyone with confidence!"

Luke
My name is Luke, I live in East Rock with my partner Simone and our cat Bristol. I grew up over in Stratford and have lived all around Connecticut: Hartford, the Valley, Fairfield.
Happy to have finally settled in New Haven.

I grew up with dogs. LOTS of dogs – Alex the Doberman (the two of us pictured above), Yallah the Husky, Bailey and Biscuit the Shepherds, and three generations of Ridgeback – including our namesake, Strider:

In 2014, I started working seven days a week as a fully insured, CPR + first-aid certified pet sitter/dog walker servicing Shelton, Derby, and the Greater Valley.

I have years of experience working with dozens and dozens (and dozens) of animals/households over 1000+ visits – I’ve worked with small breeds, large breeds, puppies, seniors, single-dog households, four-dog households, and every personality you can imagine.
Of all the jobs I’ve had (Cook! Projectionist! Coordinating 200+ music lessons a week!), my time pet sitting has been the most rewarding.
Thanks for helping me continue to do that.
